This hidden gem is a premier example of a well-protected urban habitat, acting as a vital green artery for birds navigating the Central Flyway. Because of its unique mix of riparian corridors and dense brush, it serves as a critical overwintering area for migrants.

Our field trips are open to the public and we encourage those new to birding to join them. Our field trips are intended primarily for our members, but we welcome new birders to participate for their first time. We do request if you decide to attend additional field trips or our quarterly meetings that you join our group. The membership application can be downloaded from there and with all the necessary instructions.
Please bring plenty of water, wear appropriate clothing and shoes to do a lot of walking, bug spray and snacks if you would like. Should you sign up and then decide not to attend, please remove yourself from the list so that others on the waiting list can be moved up.
