Fort Hood Field Trip

We are fortunate to have another opportunity to bird on Fort Hood once again. Our local guide will be Scott Summers and we will be looking for wintering species on the Fort. This is a great opportunity to bird an otherwise restricted area.

Our field trips are open to the public and we encourage those new to birding to join them. However, they are intended primarily for our members, but we welcome new birders to participate for their first time. We do request if you decide to attend additional field trips or our quarterly meetings that you join our group. The membership application can be downloaded from the Meetup site or the WAG Facebook page and has all the necessary instructions.
Please bring plenty of water, wear appropriate clothing and shoes to do a lot of walking, bug spray and snacks if you would like. Should you sign up and then decide not to attend, please remove yourself from the list so that others on the waiting list can be moved up. bird this area which otherwise is restricted.
