Come on out for this FIRST meeting for anyone interested in writing, reading or getting published (or not!).

This group is in its infancy, so the first part of this event will be reserved for suggestions and ideas on what it'll be like - small, medium, big, at coffee shops or some other venue, and when is easiest for most to meet. I'm planning to meet weekly.
A critique will be offered for anyone with a short piece (short story, novel excerpt, poetry, flash fiction, glorified rant) to share. Please keep it under 10 minutes and know that the feedback will be as encouraging and clear-eyed as possible. Call it a 'semi-safe space.' :)
About me: resident of Wilmington for one year, recently from Asheville, where I hosted a similar MeetUp of several regulars for about two years. I have an English degree and work in logistics, have a wonderfully friendly dog that will probably be in attendance at most occasions. :/
