Old Winchester Hill Circular
Details
A lovely circular walk (4.5 mi/7.2 km) going through the Old Winchester Hill National Nature Reserve, home to a varieties of flora and fauna. From the summit of the Old Winchester Hill, we will enjoy views over the rolling hills, an Iron Age hill fort and the earlier Bronze Age barrows or burial mounds.
The walk itself should take between 2:00 to 2:30 hours plus extra time for short breaks.
Meet at 9:45 at the Old Winchester Hill car park . Ready to leave at 10:00.
**As usual there will be a small charge of £2.00 (cash) per person for this walk on the day.**
Please bring a pack lunch/snacks for our stops a long the way.
Note: Please note walks maybe cancelled due to poor weather, so please check before leaving.
Terrain: Some ups and downs, tracks and paths which can be muddy, stiles. Make sure you are wearing appropriate footwear and clothing for this walk.
Dogs: Well-behaved dogs are allowed but must be kept on leads at all times.
