Cheriton to Tichborne Walk taking in the Cheriton Battlefields

Let’s mix this 5.5 mile walk with a bit of History,

The Battle of Cheriton was a major turning point in the English Civil War and resulted in an important Parliamentarian victory that helped shape the future of England.
We will follow the trail that sets out from the Lower Car Park at Hinton Ampner House ( there is no charge). The walk will follow the route taken by the troops on 29 March 1644 to Cheriton Battlefield , tracing the movements of the soldiers who shaped our nation.
The walk is suitable for people of a moderate fitness level with optional refreshments at The Flower Pots in Cheriton.
We will meet in the car park at 10:00 for a 10:15 start.

This is a chargeable event, a fee of £2:00 will be payable on the day by non paid up members.
