Winchester to Winchester Circular

I have put this walk of approx 10 miles together for our regular walkers, I would describe it as moderate/hard, there are some inclines. The terrain is a mix of tracks and waterside trails. It is only suitable for people with a good fitness level who are capable of walking in excess of 2.5 miles per hour.

We will meet at 09:45 for a 10:00 start in Winchester Abbey Gardens.

The walk will follow this route : Winchester - St Catherine’s - Twyford Down - Shawford - Compton - Olivers Battery - Badger Farm - St Cross - Winchester.

Please consider the weather conditions leading up to the walk and wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

No Dogs on this walk but well behaved guests and prospective new members welcome.

This is a chargeable event, a fee of £2:00 will be payable on the day by non paid up members.
