St Catherine’s , Twyford Down and Compton Lock Circular

Join me for this 7.5 mile circular walk with wonderful views over the Hampshire countryside, taking in the Twyford Downs, Twyford, Shawford and the River Itchen.
We’ll meet in Abbey Gardens at 09:45 for a 10:00 start.
We will not be climbing but going round the side of the hill. The walk is suitable for people with a moderate fitness level and will be taken at a steady pace, there are a few gentle inclines, we walk around St Catherine’s Hill across Twyford Down past the Gallops to Twyford then on to Shawford, we then follow the River Itchen via Compton Lock back to Winchester.

This is a chargeable event a fee of £2.00 will be payable on the day for non paid up members.
Guests and prospective new members are welcome on this walk.
