Not to be missed.
Having walked up there today and witnessed the fantastic display of bluebells that carpet Parnholt Wood, I thought I would put this additional midweek walk on. This is a beautiful walk taking in Farley Mount and Parnholt Wood with panoramic views of the Hampshire countryside and an abundance of flora and fauna.
It is suitable for people of moderate fitness, there are a few inclines and uneven footpaths.
The walk will be taken at a more leisurely pace than normal. it is approx 5 miles which should take just over 2hrs to complete.
Please consider the weather conditions and wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
Guests and prospective new members welcome.
Meet at Farley Mount Monument Car Park at 10:15 for a 10:30 start, What3Words location: structure.stereos.teach
There is alternative parking just across the road in Juniper Car Park. What3words location - proves.snooty.gates.
Afterwards refreshments at a location to be confirmed.
This is a chargeable event, a fee of £2.00 is payable on the day by non paid up members.
Update: following the walk, refreshments will be taken at The Plough Inn, Woodman Lane, Sparsholt, SO21 2NW.
