We're delighted to welcome Stockholm-based composer and performer Andy Fite to the United Kingdom for his first performance here. Originally from New York, he has performed there at legendary clubs Birdland and the Blue Note, as well as internationally at A-Trane in Berlin (where we first heard him), Glenn Miller Cafe in Stockholm, Philly Joe's in Tallinn, Le Club in Moscow, and venues in Canada, France, Norway, Austria and Greece.

Fite combines an original and engaging improvising style on guitar and voice with an approach to the art of songwriting that is both serious and seriously funny. He draws inspiration from his long life as a jazz musician, his love for the Great American Songbook, his study of politics and sexuality, his work as a therapist (and patient!) and his fascination with people. The tone is conversational, the mood is friendly. The music, and the poetry, are full of surprises.

Windsor Jazz Club is a monthly jazz club night, every third Sunday, in the relaxing and atmospheric Hope live music bar on Alma Road in Windsor. The club brings new artists to the town, playing a mixture of well-loved jazz standards and original compositions. The evening starts at 8pm (doors at 7:30) and presents an hour and a half of live music with an interval halfway. The music finishes around 10pm and the venue is open until 11pm for socialising. Come along to meet other lovers of live music, jazz followers, aficionados and musicians. The bar is well stocked with a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, juices, hot drinks and snacks. We look forward to meeting you.
