What we’re about
We have some regulars and some new friends showing up for our fun American Mahjong group here on the Windward side. Some are somewhat new and some are experienced.
We use the NMJL (National Mah Jongg League) Standard Hands. I have a few Mahjong sets and tables and chairs. We play American Mahjong. (We do not play any of the Chinese or Japanese versions at this time.) We also can rotate hosting if anyone volunteers another venue.
This has been a semi-monthly meetup. We usually meet the 2nd and 4th Monday evenings, from 6 - 8:30-ish pm. Occasionally, this changes.
When we have more than 4 players I know how to play with only 3 players or even 2 (Siamese MJ.)
I've posted my address on each event. If you do register for an event, please be on time or we may start without you.

Windward Mahjong LIVE!
Mark's House, 1604 Kanapuu Dr, Kailua, HI, USWe are still hopeful that we will be able to host a few more of the scheduled events before we leave - if the house is cleared by then and Christine is feeling up to it. The Windward Mahjong Meetup Group LIVE meetings NORMALLY are on the 2nd and 4th Monday each month at 6pm. Sometimes a meeting is shifted due to scheduling. Please RSVP separately to each individual event to attend, so I can plan for chairs and tables. Bring a mahjong set if you have one. We play the AMERICAN version of the game using the 2025 National Mahjong League cards. We do not play the Chinese or Japanese versions. New cards are available annually each April.
