Breakfast @Roux Diner BEFORE 57th Street Art Fair (part 1 of 2)

Part 1 of 2 BRUNCH- only 4-6 people per table. They do not take reservations, so it is first-come, first-served seating. We may not be able to sit near each other. We will do this before the 57th Street Art Fair

Note that the fair is about 5 blocks from the restaurant. Recommend those driving to park in the middle so do not have to move your car twice or walk too far! Those not driving, we will walk 5 blocks to the fair to burn off breakfast!

If you are joining us for brunch, IT IS COUNTER SERVICE SO EVERYONE PAYS ON THEIR OWN! CASH OR CREDIT IS ACCEPTED! PLEASE MAKE SURE TO TIP YOUR SERVERS!

Roux Diner is located next to the University of Chicago in one of the city’s most historic neighborhoods, Roux is Chef Charlie McKenna’s New Orleans-inspired, all-day breakfast spot. Located in the heart of Hyde Park, Roux offers a new go-to with beignets, coffee, and all-day breakfast.

They have Southern staples from beignets to shrimp & grits served in a stylish setting with retro accents.

We have several members who live in Hyde Park and RAVE, RAVE, RAVE about this place. Best southern breakfast in the area! I have been here several times and love this place!!

Metered parking on 55th Street. Free side streets. Metra Electric trains run near the fair & several CTA bus routes. Use SpotHero or Parking Whiz for the cheapest & safest options. Note that the fair is about 5 blocks from the restaurant. Recommend parking in the middle so do not have to move your car twice!

PLEASE NOTE OUR CURRENT NO-SHOW POLICY:

1. 3 no-shows without updating your rsvp, and you will not be able to sign up for future events for 3 months
2. cut-off time to update your rsvp is the start time of the event. If you miss the start time, then message the event host directly
3. not checking in with the event host to notify them you have arrived (for walks, tours or festival-type events)
4. continual no-shows will result in removal from the group!
