Lincoln Square Summer Concert Series Featuring Los Perros Cubanos

The summer outdoor music season has begun! Let's go check out one of our favorite bands, Los Perros Cubanos, in a different location! We have seen Los Perros Cubanos at Colvin House before, but this is another great spot! Lincoln Square does free concerts in Giddings Plaza over in Lincoln Square. Bring your own chair or blanket plus your dancing shoes! This is a fun time as we did this last August~ However, note that it is very kid-friendly and can be crowded, so come early to get a good spot!

Tentative Itinerary:
5:30 - 6 pm - meet & greet in the Giddings Plaza
6 - 8:30 pm - watch Los Perros Cubanos concert
8:30 -10 pm - grab a drink/bite after the show (optional)

After the show, we might grab a bite at Garcia's, Barba Yianni Grecian Taverna, Essence of India, or Daily Bar & Grill, which are all nearby. All are welcome to join for the meal afterward. Bring CASH if you wish to eat after, as many places do not do separate checks

The Summer Concert Series, Lincoln Square's favorite free summer event, returns once again for a limited run! Swing by Giddings Plaza between 6:00pm - 8:30pm (weather permitting) to hear the sweet sounds of local Chicago musicians. Enjoy beer and wine for purchase from their local vendor, Ricochet's Tavern. The Series runs through early August. Be sure to tell your entire family and all of your friends!

Los Perros Cubanos features the music of Cuba’s Golden Age of the 1940s and 1950s. Since its inception in 2009, Los Perros Cubanos has become one of the Midwest’s hottest Latin acts. The band’s music combines the traditional Cuban music styles of Son Cubano, Salsa, Cha-Cha, and Charanga with modern instrumental prowess to produce a captivating sound that moves your feet. Los Perros Cubanos take the influences of such Latin music immortals as Buena Vista Social Club, Beny Moré, Arsenio Rodriguez, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, and Compay Segundo, and blends jazz, blues, rock, and country into the mix to create a totally unique sound. 2. cut-off time to update your rsvp is the start time of the event. If you miss the start time, then message the event host directly
3. not checking in with the event host to notify them you have arrived (for walks, tours, or festivals type of events)
4. Continual no-shows will result in removal from the group!
