One of my favorite yearly events! As some of you know, I work for a childrenβs book publisher, so weβll definitely check out my companyβs booth at this fest. Letβs explore the festival together!
Tentative Itinerary:
π 11:00 AM β Meet & greet outside the old Dearborn Street Train Station
π 11:00 AMβ2 PM β Break into small groups (4β5 people) to explore the festival, attend author talks, and browse booksellers
π½οΈ 2β3:30 PM β Regroup at Dearborn Station for a late lunch or early dinner at nearby Meliβs Cafe, Half Sour, or Flacos Tacos (final location depends on wait times)

About the Festival:
- Largest free outdoor literary showcase in the Midwest
- Founded 1985 by Near South Planning Board; acquired by Chicago Tribune in 2002
- Over 200 booksellers and 7 stages with 100+ free literary programs
- Features new, used, and rare books, plus author talks and Chicago architecture

All events are free; no tickets required. Seating is first-come, first-served.
