WINDY CITY DADS is a diverse and welcoming community for Chicago-land fathers living in the city and suburbs. We believe in active parenting, shared experiences and building a supportive network. Whether you are a new dad or seasoned pro, join us as we navigate fatherhood together.
Please note: this group is strictly for Dads, we understand sometimes wives will join for their significant others but we encourage all fathers to join our group on their own accord, it takes few minutes to setup their own meetup profile. We want this group to be a comfortable place for all Dads to learn and talk about anything dad related.
Our Windy City Dads Group is FREE to join and attend meetup events. Some meetups will have a cost to participate but everyone can pay their own way is what we found out works the best.
For those of you on social media, we also ask that you share your evebt engagement photos on your personal accounts like Facebook taging our "Windy City Dads" so we can engage share, like and comment, which will help broaden our social media reach in an effort to expand our audience and ultimately get more members to join our meetup group. By doing so will help us get more sponsored event opportunities.

Come out and join us for a well deserved DADS LUNCH with some of your fellow Windy City Dads Group members at one of our favorite places Real Urban BBQ in Vernon Hills. This event is intended for DADS ONLY so we can have adult conversations and build more friendships.
Lets plan on meeting inside Real Urban BBQ in Vernon Hilks at 12:00PM (noon) for meal, drink and/or dessert! For about $25 you can get a two meat dinner with sides and a drink. And to save a few bucks, don't forget to bring in your mason jar from last time we went for complimentary refills of lemonade, soda or flavored ice tea. They also have a large selection of bottled beer and flavored soda, if that is more to your liking.

DADS GETTING COFFEE & Breakfast @ Andy’s Cafe (Des Plaines)
Andys Cafe, 1515 E Oakton St,, Des Plaines, IL, USWe invite you to come out & join some of your fellow WINDY CITY DADS members for a new meetup series called DADS GETTING COFFEE (& Breakfast). This specific event is intended for DADS ONLY where we can hang out together, in a kid free zone, have adult conversations while building friendships and talk all things fatherhood related.
Each month we pick a different place for coffee and breakfast to meetup on the weekend... but would love to see this happen even more if there are some other guys who want to step up and organize in your area too, could be a great way to connect with our members living all over Chicagoland city and suburbs. Even if we had several meetups on same day/time all over area for guys to choose would be awesome!
This time around we are going to meetup @ Andys Cafe in Des Plaines. We willl do separate checks to make it easier then everyone can leave when they need too. Please RSVP and arrive 15 minutes early as they dont sit party until everyone is there.

HomeDadCon - Chicago 2026 (Oct.1-3)

HomeDadCon 2026 will be held in Chicago from October 1–3, 2026, featuring three days of networking, workshops, and support for at-home dads. Tickets are available now, with general admission priced at US$300 (before July 1) or US$335 (late registration), covering programming and select meals.

Ticket Information

- Late Admission ($335): Available after July 1 until August 1, 2026.
- Refund Policy: No refunds are available within 60 days of the event.
