Hotei Grand Tasting - 70 wines plus dinner!

Just a quick note to let you know that there are 10 tickets remaining for Hotei Wines May 25 Grand Tasting event in Aoyama featuring special guest Ted Lemon from Littorai.

We'll have dedicated tables for each of our new partners -- Three Thieves, Navarro, Big Basin, Wind Gap, Littorai and Melville -- allowing tasters to really get a sense of each winery's particular style. We'll also be featuring 31 other selected wines from our portfolio, organized by varietal, so if you really want to drill into Sauvignon Blanc, or Cabernet, or Syrah, then we've got a section for you.

In all, we'll be showing 71 wines, including '95 Ravenswood Cooke Vineyard and '95 Cline Bridgehead Vineyard Zinfandels from the Hotei library collection, both sourced from turn-of-the-century vineyards (turn of the previous century that is -- Bridgehead was planted on 1895!). And to celebrate long-time Hotei friend and winemaker Mike Haven's recent wedding, we'll be pulling out a 6.0L bottle of '05 Havens Bourriquot, a Cab Franc/Merlot blend that Parker has referred to as "California's best homage to Cheval Blanc".
