Opa! The Plaka Restaurant, Seattle

Details
Fellow TWDHH Peeps:
We have a very unique opportunity with a couple of firsts! To begin with: The Plaka is by far in my opinionated Greek view the best Greek restaurant in the US; and I have been to many...from NYC, Atlanta and Tampa. A first, we will have two Greeks and a Turk hosting. Second, I have never hosted an event with my fellow organizer and Greek, Cathy aka Kit Cat.
So let me begin to discuss about this adventure:
This will be our prep for the Greek Festival, which will be the following weekend!
So let us start with history of The Plaka, and then move on to the deets of this meetup. The Plaka resides at the north and eastern base of the slopes of the Parthenon. The Parthenon is a massive rock very similar to Ayers rock in Australia. On top of the Parthenon is the Acropolis; a monument built for the Goddess of War and Wisdom: Athena! Back in the toga days of Greece, The Plaka is where Socrates taught his students. In modern days, let us say shortly before WWI, The Plaka turned into a restaurant region that featured authentic Greek cuisine at the base of a historical monument.
Now to the present. Plaka Estiatorio, is by far in my biased opinion the best Greek restaurant in Washington and in the US. It has all my favorites. This is a family owned establishment that are willing to make your evening as close as it comes to going to Greece. The Plaka, actually looks like a restaurant in the Plaka district. And they have both of my favorites: Grilled marinated Octopus and Tarama Salata (Caviar Salad).

I would like to set up Carpools for this event, depending on where you live. This not only will be fun...but if you have never been to Greece...after this night, you will come close. And this will get us ready for the Greek festival the following weekend at St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Tacoma.
