Winemaker Tasting Series - Sol Rouge at the WineShoppe

This afternoon, we'll join South Bay's Passion for Wine at the WineShoppe in Torrance as Bryan Kane, owner & winemaker from Sol Rouge will be pouring a great selection of wines. The WineShoppe in Torrance is a boutique shop specializing in unique and hard to find wines from around the world. During the summer months every Saturday afternoon, the WineShoppe hosts the Winemaker Series hosting a different winery every week.

Sol Rouge is a family estate vineyard started by Jill & Bryan Kane in 2005
focused on producing wines from the grape varietals of Southern France's Rhone and Bordeaux regions. They are currently partnering with vineyards in California who produce these varietals and who have distinct soil profiles similar to our terroir and those microclimates similar to that of these great wine regions of France. Their "non-intervention" winemaking philosophy helps to bring the true flavor and characteristics of the vineyard through to their wines. Their award-winning wines includes Gypsy Blanc, Viognier, Rose, Gypsy Rouge, Cinsault, Counoise, Grenache, Mouvedre, Zinfandel, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Melange Rouge & the "Keep". On a special note, I just had the 2014 Sol Rouge Cabernet Franc. It was exquisite!

There will 6 varietals poured this afternoon. The posting will be updated once the wines to be poured is finalized. While there is no food provided, you are able to bring snacks to the tasting.

I am a wine club member, so please let the WineShoppe know that you are with the group for the wine club member fee of $15 each for the wine tasting (reg. $20).

There is plenty of free parking. The wine tasting ends at 5 PM. There are many restaurants nearby to continue your evening. Look forward to seeing you there.
