This group has been created for people who enjoy learning about wine and culture at the same time. Each quarter of the year, we host events at an embassy in Washington DC to share and learn about the culture of the hosting country. You don't have to be a member to attend those embassy events. Come and join us for cultural adventures around drinks and food.

Australian Wine Tasting Soirée

Join us for an Australian Wine Tasting night!

Six different types of wines will be featured. This is a wine tasting night, where we pour six types of delicious wines for hours, we get educated on the wines by the top notch experts from the industry. On top of that, we socialize and mingle with many like minded wine lovers through out the evening.

*Full cash bar will be available after the Event.

Ticket price increases to $ 45 on Feb. 1st, to $ 55 on Feb. 22nd and to $ 65 on Feb. 29th, 2016. Please get your early bird ticket before then.

Payment Instructions :

  1. You should login from a PC to see the 'Pay Now' button, after RSVPing. Then hit the button.

  2. Verify correct dollar amount for number of people you're paying for.

  3. If you don't have a Paypal account, click "Pay with a Debit or Credit Card".

  4. If you have a Paypal account, simply log in, and pay as you normally would via Paypal.

Refund & Ticket Resell

All sales are final. We only refund the full amount, if the event is canceled. If it is rescheduled, we will send an email to those who RSVPed 'YES' advising that. A full refund will be given to those that let us know within 2 calendar days of the update email, if you are unable to make it on the new date. No refunds will be given after that time.

However, you can sell your ticket to someone else if you are unable to attend. Please, feel free to post in the comment box for the event, that you have a ticket for sale. Work out payment between yourselves, and have the seller only send the organizer a "message" through their Meetup profile (do not comment in the comment box of the event posting) letting us know the full name and Meetup profile URL (if a member) of the person taking your spot. You must let us know two hours before the RSVP close time, on the day of the event.

METRO & PARKING INFO :

The Gryphon is half a block from DuPont Circle Metro Station. Please take 'DuPont South' Exit. Check it on http://www.wmata.com/ and plan accordingly.

Street parking might be difficult. However, if you plan to drive, there are parking garages around.

French Caribbean Dance Soirée @ The French Embassy (Zouk, Kompa, Kizomba,...)

Let us show you the caribbean side of the French/Francophonie culture. We will be spinning Zouk, Soca, Merengue, Kompa, Kizomba and Reggae. On top of that, a live band will be playing.

Ticket includes one tropical welcome punch and All-You-Can-Eat tropical buffet from 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm.

Metro & Parking Info

There is no metro station close by. However, the D6 bus make a stop in front of the Embassy.

There will be no parking inside the Embassy. Public parking is available on Reservoir Rd and across the street at Georgetown University Hospital's pay lot.

Wine Enthusiasts Happy Hour

This is not as such neither a Wine Tasting nor an Embassy Event. However, we deserve to enjoy a HAPPY HOUR from time to time. On top of that, I organize this with my other Meetups and you will get to mix and mingle, with many insanely wicked friendly socialites.

Policy make me feel loved and honored, by naming, one of my favorite cocktails, after me - MerTini:) It will be one of the featured cocktails.
