The Hate U Give, by Angie Thomas

I found this book while browsing the libraries ebooks and came across a section called "frequently banned books". Perfect! Tell me more... I started reading out of curiosity and just to get through a sleepless night, but I find that I want to finish it. So I thought I'd see who wants to read it with me. As far as I can tell, it is only banned because the characters are black and it deals with issues of the inner city. How scandalous... But if you're up for learning a new perspective, this is an easy and, I think, authentic read.
