What we’re about
Hello!
My name is Melissa Yakimowsky and I have been in the wine industry for about 5 years now. I love wine, it is a passion of mine, but I also love food. Someday I will open up my very own wine bar, but until then I want to share these two passions of mine with others.
Another thing that I am passionate about is hosting and entertaining, meeting other people and getting to know their story. This is what the group is about. Whether we meet at my house and I will cook, and provide the wine (you may also bring a bottle or 2), or we dine out at a local spot where they have excellent food and wine. I know a bunch!
I too have to mention that I am Italian and what we do best and celebrate while bringing people together. I want to do this with both exceptional food, wine, and conversations.
So, what do you say? If you have any recommendations or suggestions, please let me know. I am open to them all!
Cheers!

See all- Cheers & Chill: A Fun Afternoon at Uva Wine Bar (Plymouth)UVA Wine Bar, Plymouth , MA$1.00
Happy Summer! Our first ever Wine and Dine group on the road!
Have you ever been to Uva Wine Bar in Plymouth? If not, then you are in for a treat. And, your treat is South Shore's first self-service wine bar. Yep, you heard that right.
Uva Wine Bar was founded by best friends, Katy and Michelle. They opened their first location in Plymouth in 2019 and then their second location in Mashpee just this year. They believe that wine tasting should be an approachable activity and brings together people who want to learn more about it, or just want a unique social experience with their friends. Their staff are knowledgeable, but not pretentious, and offer superior customer service. [https://uvawineplymouth.com/](Uva Wine Bar)
What to expect: When you arrive at Uva you will see a table setup for my Meetup. The wine bar is intimate not big. I will also be close to the door so you know where to go. You will give them a credit card to hold until you are ready to checkout. You will get a wristband with a card attached to it (kinda like an arcade). Then, you can go up to any of the self-pour dispensers (you can choose 2 oz., 4 oz., or 6 oz. pours so you can compare various wines from different regions.) This is when and where you will insert that card. And, that's it... Sip, Savor, and Socialize!
Cost: This event is not free. Each wine comes with a price whether you want 2, 4 or 6 oz. They also offer light bites as well.
You don't need to bring anything just yourself. This is such a fun, social and educating event if you are into wine education. If not, no worries. Just come, drink and have fun.
Note: Make sure you have a profile photo before signing up. And, if you can't make the event be sure to cancel within a fair amount of time to let another meetup member attend. Thank you for your understanding!
