In The Mood for Love; Tip Top Tasting

During our last Meet Up a challenge arose to choose 90 minute films. Maintaining the exquisite composition, subtle storytelling, and ‘sensual pacing’ of Beau Travail (1999), Wong Kar-Wai's In the Mood for Love (2000) was my instant pick.

I first watched 2046, (unbeknownst to myself) the sequel to In the Mood for Love. I was blown away and credit it as my gateway obsession to the art of film. In the Mood for Love lurking as its predecessor was unfathomable. It indeed exists and is even more refined as a tome to tone, mood, affect, color, pace, and style.

I thought it would be interesting to lean into the Wine a little more this Meet Up. With the help from Lauren at Tip Top, I will curate a tasting to accompany our discussion. We taste together and discuss the wine and the film. As we solidify the flight, i will post some of their stories.

In the Mood for Love will be projected while we discuss.
