Wine and Conversation at Water Tower Fine Wines

Water Tower Fine Wines (6136 Campus Ln, 45230) 6:00 PM
This is one of the most unique Wine Shops in Cincinnati, and has been in business for a long time. It has been described as like a home with rooms filled with rows of wine bottles. There is a large tasting area and an outside deck. Many people have recommended this to me as the best wine shop on the East Side, and perhaps, in the city. It is a 'must see it at least once' type of place.
There are a dozen 'Wine Stations' machines where you can get an auto pour and track what you drink on a provided card. For those who enjoy tasting different varieties, that will give you many choices. If you know what you like, you can purchase a bottle ( there is a $5 dollar corkage fee) and that is more economical than by the glass.
Usually this shop closes up at 6 PM, but Dave , the owner, will stay open until 9 PM on this evening to host our group. There is no kitchen service, but we can bring in foods. So if anyone has a favorite Hors d'oeuvre that they like to bring, please do! ( A cheese ball is about all I can do. )
I'm looking forward to checking out Water Tower Wines. This should be a fun summer evening in one of the landmark wine shops in Cincinnati. I'll try to arrive a little before 6, but the shop is open all day and you are free to come earlier. We will try to finish up close to 9 since Dave has been kind enough to stay open late for us.
