Wine and Conversation at the Skeleton Root

Details
First, thanks to everyone who came to June's Meetup at Water Tower Fine Wines. The venue was as unique as advertised, a great tasting room that was comfortable and relaxing. The food was great, the conversation was good, the wine selection was impressive. Jean (John) said good bye to us, as he is headed back to Pittsburgh. He will be missed. And I learned that Water Tower's owners want to retire, so if you have never visited it, it may not be there much longer. We may have to try to visit it again before the year is out.
For July, we're heading to :
The Skeleton Root Urban Winery (38 West McMicken Ave. 45202) 6 PM
This is actually a working winery, they have a tasting room in a large industrial style warehouse setting, and an outdoor wine garden and patio. They make wines on site and have reasonably priced flights . They have flat breads and meat and cheese boards.
They are located in the Northern Part of OTR. A block away from Rhinegeist Brewery, the Northern Trolley Stop. 2 blocks from Findlay Market.
This is another unique local wine business that I've heard a lot about. It is a woman owned business, and the goal is to recall that OTR actually used to be a major commercial wine producing region.
There is a public parking lot 1 block away at Race St. and McMicken St. and usually street parking in the area.
If there is any person who is concerned about walking to and from their car or the trolley because of this neighborood, let me know, and I'll post my phone number and make sure someone in the group escorts you. It will be summer, so we should have daylight coming and going.
