LET'S TAKE A ROAD TRIP TO RUIDOSO ON THE 4TH OF JULY!!

HOWDY ALL!! I am really looking forward to this event. I have never spent more than a couple of hours in Ruidoso and I'm looking forward to spending a couple of days there. Yes, this event is on the 4th of July. There is so much going on there that weekend that I couldn't even begin to tell you where to start. I am posting this now in hopes of giving everyone time to make arrangements with your friends and or guests for transportation and lodging to and in Ruidoso. I'll start here and refer you to the discoverruidoso.com website. It has a nice list of events happening there that weekend. We don't have to do them all together, but I'm just giving you ideas of what's available to us. Horse racing, a tailgate and drone light show, lots of live music and more. I looked at some of the restaurants open at the Inn of the God's hotel and casino and to be honest, they're super pricey. I found one on line called The Ruidoso Grill & Tap Room a.k.a. Rio Grande Grill & Tap Room at 441 Mechem Drive, Ruidoso, NM. It's only 10 minutes from the casino (hint, hint). The menu looks really good so we should be able to enjoy a meal, guilt free. We can meet there at 1:00 p.m. for lunch on Friday the 4th. If anyone would like to caravan over there, I'll be at the Lowe's parking lot on Transmountain at 9 a.m. (provided no issues arise) and we can leave for Ruidoso at or around 9 to 9:15 a.m. at the latest. If you have ideas for a place to stay, please put them here in the comments or text me at 209-401-0064. If we can all stay at the same place/hotel or cabins, we may be able to get a better rate as a group. I will be staying Friday and Saturday night and will be leaving there on Sunday by noon. I am bringing a guest so please feel free to bring your guest(s) as well.
