SIDE-BY-SIDE BLIND COMPARISONS

In our March session we will play a “Which one is better?” game. Each attendee is invited to bring one bottle of either a pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon or merlot (only 100% varietals please, no blends). Choose something that you think will be a winner because your selection will compete against the others in your category to determine which one our group prefers. Cover up your competitor so we can do blind comparisons and then, after the voting, do the reveal of the winner.

Our process will be the same as usual: Everyone will take a turn presenting their selection and providing some background infomation about it. (Some research may be required.)
We will all then share, taste and critique each bottle.
I will provide some tasting glasses but if you have some of your own, bring them along.
If you want to bring some other food items to accompany your presentation, they would be welcome also.
I have reserved a large outdoor table for us on the recreation deck of my condo building in Kakaako. (Access details will be sent on the day before the event to those who RSVP.
Because of space restrictions, we can only accommodate about a dozen people for this event.
