Hi everyone,

Our annual wine judging night is coming up quickly on May 8th.

As mentioned before, several of our dates are having to be adjusted to account for Mike's and my travel schedules in the next couple of months.

The National Tasting Project, or NTP, is an event focused on wine judging that we share with many other chapters in the AWS. This is a fun thing that lets us compare our wine judging with a specific slate of wines that other chapters also judge.

As many of you know, our host, chapter founder, and AWS Regional Ambassador Mike Blake is the National Coordinator for the NTP at AWS.

This year the theme is California Pinots and Chardonnays. We have the wine already, having purchased it in February.

This year, we're adjusting the format a bit by just judging, most likely, 8 wines instead of the whole fleet of 11, which will make it less ambitious and more interesting. The remaining wines can get judged in a future meeting.

Who should attend? Well, everybody who is at least somewhat familiar with the AWS judging process can attend. However, this meeting is probably not the right one if it's going to be your first meeting with us. We're glad to have everyone, but having first-timers to the judging process slows down the proceedings.

I do hope we can get a full meeting on this short notice.
