Taste of Texas -Inwood Estates Vineyard

Because of the rise in COVID-19 in our area, we have gone back to virtual tastings. We have scheduled a Inwood Winery virtual tasting for Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Spencer Gatlin, winemaker for Inwood Estates Vineyard, is going to give the Wine Society DFW chapter a private wine tasting via zoom. Inwood Estates is one of those urban wineries which is hiding in plain sight in the Design District of Dallas near the Hilton Anatole hotel. The family owned winery has been in business since 1981 and was one of the first Texas wineries to recognize that Tempranillo could be one of the signature grapes for Texas. The wines of Inwood have won numerous awards over the years as the Gatlin family focuses on cutting edge technology to make the most out of "Texas Terroir." The winery is considered to be one of best wineries in Texas, so you won't want to miss this one!

At the tasting, we will have the following wines:

2018 Illumina Petite Sirah
2019 Tempranillo-Cabernet Sauvignon
2019 Cornelious 100% Tempranillo
2017 Magellan Bordeaux style blend
2017 Mericana 100% Cabernet Sauvignon

To order these wines, you must contact Spencer Gatlin directly at sgatlin@inwoodwinery.com and mention that you are purchasing for the Wine Society of Texas DFW chapter event.
