PROST! Our 6th Annual Ciderhaus Oktoberfest is coming!

Oktoberfest has its roots in Bavaria, Germany, beginning in Munich more than 200 years ago as a celebration of the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese. The celebration was such a hit that it became an annual tradition filled with food, music, drinks, games, and community gathering.
And while it may be called Oktoberfest, the celebration traditionally begins in September! Over the years, the festivities were moved earlier to take advantage of the longer days and warmer September weather — and we are more than happy to carry on that tradition right here in Poulsbo.
Here at Bushel & Barrel, we put our own ciderhouse-and-farm spin on Oktoberfest with a full day of music, games, ridiculous competitions, great drinks, and lots of community fun.


THE HOMETOWN BAND — 2 PM to 5 PM
Get ready for a BIG OOMPAH-STYLE BRASS BAND EXPERIENCE with The Hometown Band! Big horns, festive energy, and the kind of music that makes it almost impossible not to clap along, dance, and raise a stein.
And yes — WE WANT TO SEE THOSE LEDERHOSEN AND DIRNDLS!
Dress up, get festive, and come ready to celebrate. Traditional attire is definitely encouraged, but not required.
Throughout the day, we’ll also have plenty of Oktoberfest-style fun, including:


Stein Holding
Hammer-Schlagen
Yodeling
Wiener Carving


Games, contests, prizes, and more!
We also plan to showcase a wide variety of special Oktoberfest-inspired brews and concoctions from local breweries, alongside our own ciderhouse favorites. Expect plenty of fun seasonal pours and festive flavors to help us properly toast the occasion.
