FRIDAY MORNING HIKE - STUNT HIGH TRAIL in CALABASAS

This is a new hike for the San Fernando Valley Day Hikers – and one of our members, Randy, will guide us during this event !!!

HIKE INFORMATION:
The Stunt High Trail begins by descending through an oak grove along the banks of Cold Creek and then progresses uphill through green fields with open views of the surrounding Santa Monica Mountains. The trail follows the north-facing slope, so it stays relatively shady.

This is a moderate out and back hike with lots of views. Some sections are rocky. There are couple of logical turn-around points for those wanting a shorter hike. The options are between ~3 and ~5 miles.
Depending on the group, there is a way to extend the hike to the top of Saddle Peak.
Please know your limitations. Please bring plenty of water and wear hiking boots.
Hiking Poles are also recommended.

LOCATION: Calabasas Peak trailhead on Stunt Road.
ADDRESS: 1858 Stunt Rd., Calabasas, California 91302. This is an approximate address. It’s about 1 mile up Stunt Road off of Mulholland Highway.
START: 8:15 am
Stunt Road is a winding road. Give yourself extra time to park & meet at the trailhead.
