The group will list all open opportunities to play chess in Winnipeg, both casual meetups in public places and open tournaments.
Events posted will be for established chess meetups where there is a reliable facilitator with equipment present. Keep in mind these will have different organizers which will be noted in the event description.
If you're looking for a casual game outside the posted schedule, stop by the games tables on the 2nd floor of Millennium Library on a Saturday afternoon and there are usually casual players to be found, often an expert level player among them. Note that these are not a formal meetup with a facilitator but an informal tradition that has been going on for many years. Bring your own equipment if you can.
