What we’re about
YIMBY Winnipeg Urbanist Hangouts is a chance for fun, informal meetups where folks can talk about new trends and issues in urbanism in Winnipeg. This includes stuff like zoning, are everlasting quest for a good transit system, and curbing sprawl and car-centric development. If this sounds interesting to you, come join us!
The City of Winnipeg is hosting several Open Houses to receive feedback on their proposed zoning changes to support fourplexes as-a-right and four-storey multi-family buildings within 800 metres of high frequency transit.
Zoning changes to accommodate infill housing | City of Winnipeg
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Winnipeg! We need as many people as possible to show their support for infill zoning changes. It would mean allowing more homes, mixed-use density, enabling smarter growth, and ending exclusionary zoning in our city.
Opponents of more homes and smarter growth are mobilizing. They'll be at all the public info sessions.
We need to show the City that we SUPPORT more homes and smarter growth!
