Join us for an evening of stimulating discussion on rationality. Possible areas of discussion include the following questions:
- What does rational thinking mean to you? How do you differentiate between rational and irrational thoughts?
- Do you think emotions ever cloud rational decision-making? How do you balance them?
- How do you decide whether to trust your intuition or rely on logical reasoning?
- Do you believe people are more likely to make irrational decisions when under stress? Why or why not?
- Do you think that rationality should always guide your decisions, or are there times when it's okay to ignore it?
- How do you approach a situation where your rationality conflicts with societal norms or expectations?
- Have you ever changed your mind about something important after reflecting on it more rationally? What was it?
- How do cognitive biases affect the way people think and make decisions? Can you identify any biases in your own thinking?
- Do you think people tend to overestimate their ability to think rationally? Why do you think that happens?
- Do you believe there's such a thing as too much rationality? Can being overly rational lead to negative outcomes?
These are just some of the questions we will discuss during our meetup. No preparation needed, just bring yourself and a willingness to listen and share your thoughts.
