Let’s kick off our first Winter Sports Fans Innsbruck & Other Surprises… adventure with a day trip to the Men’s Ski World Cup Slalom at the spectacular Ötztal Glacier (2,700 m)!
🌍 This is one of the most exciting events of the World Cup season — the world’s best alpine skiers, including Marco Odermatt, will compete for victory!

🎿 Schedule on site:
• 10:00 – First slalom run
• 13:00 – Second slalom run

🧣 Dress warmly! We’ll be at 2,700 meters, and it will be cold on Sunday.

🚆 Travel plan:
• 06:49 – Train: Regional Express 1 (REX 1) from Innsbruck Hbf (Platform 2) to Ötztal Bahnhof
• Arrival: 07:26 (37 min travel time)
• Then two free buses to the glacier and the competition area
• Return around 16:00 → back in Innsbruck by ~18:30

Please arrive at 06:40 a.m. at Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof, Platform 2.
I’ll be wearing a garnet-colored beanie and will stand at the front of the train.

Zwischen den Rennen machen wir einen kurzen Spaziergang mit herrlicher Aussicht auf die Alpen und essen gemeinsam zu Mittag, bevor das zweite Rennen beginnt.

• 06:49 – Zug: Regional Express 1 (REX 1) von Innsbruck Hbf (Gleis 2) nach Ötztal Bahnhof
• Ankunft: 07:26 (Fahrzeit 37 Minuten)
• Danach zwei kostenlose Busse bis zum Gletscher und zum Rennort
• Rückfahrt gegen 16:00 → Ankunft in Innsbruck ca. 18:30
