Winterfat Writing Circle #3: Lessons of the Land

Winterfat Presse's third writing circle will be on Sunday, November 1st, in respect to fall and around the theme: "Lessons of the Land."

To cooperate with the natural order of things, to let ourselves hibernate, rot, be reborn, in no particular order but always quite inevitably... how can we learn to mirror the land with grace?

There is so much to cite from the cyclical nature of the world, and much to reflect on regarding the communities that have built in respect to the land, treating its hierarchies and changes as something to adapt around, rather than to take advantage of or sacrifice.

This workshop will ask questions that connect us to our bodies, their relationship to the changing season, how we see ourselves in the world around us, and how we can engage with more intention and excitement in these tumultuous times. There is always the earth (at least for now, and hopefully for much longer!).

Please bring paper and something to write with! We will have printed packets with writings to discuss and prompts to peek at. See you on Sunday ;-)
