Join us for a fun and relaxed day trip to Chicago to enjoy Macy’s Pop-Up Flower Show!
Date: Saturday, May 2
Pace: Easy to moderate (not fast-paced)
Distance: approximately 5 miles
We’ll start the morning by meeting at the College Ave Park & Ride, then carpool to Lake Forest, IL, where we’ll catch the Metra into Chicago’s Ogilvie Transportation Center. If you prefer, you can meet us directly at the Lake Forest train station.
Once in Chicago, we’ll enjoy a scenic urban walk as we make our way to Macy’s to take in the beautiful flower displays—be sure to stop and smell the flowers along the way! We’ll also plan a stop for lunch somewhere along our route.
Train Info:
- Cost: $7 round trip (pay on the train)
- Be sure to keep your ticket for the return trip
Meeting Details:
- College Ave Park & Ride: Meet at 7:10 AM (carpool departure)
- Lake Forest Train Station: Meet at 8:30 AM to catch the 8:44 AM train
We’ll plan to return to Lake Forest around 4:30 PM (assuming we catch the 3:30 PM train back).
