IoT "Crash Course" and live demo

Details

The phenomenon of the Internet of Things is not something that will happen in the future, it is happening right now. Companies are asking how they can put a sensor on new and existing products/hardware/machinery to provide greater value to their customers and to their business. Hungry for knowledge? Join us for food, and learn about IoT!

Our first IoT User Group Meetup will be a two-part session. The first topic will be an “IoT Crash Course” presented by David Kinney. Attend if you would like to:
• Know more about IoT
• Understand what all the pieces of an IoT solution are and how they fit together – “hierarchy of needs”
• Talk like a pro and impress your friends and co-workers

After the IoT Crash Course, Kieran Maltz will present a sample implementation of IoT in Azure leveraging the Intel IoT Gateway and the Arduino 101 board (with a Seeed Grove Starter kit) along with several services available in Microsoft Azure including:
• Stream Analytics
• IoT Hub + Event Hubs
• Power BI Embedded
• Azure Functions

If you plan to attend please be sure to accept this invite so we know how much food to order and how much space we’ll need.

Hope to see you there!
