Integrate Azure SignalR Service into C#

AJAX is a great paradigm for client-to-server communication, but it isn't a perfect fit for every use case. In the business problem Zach will present, he had to enable NRT (near-real time) communication between a desktop app and a .NET Core/React SPA (Single Page Application) running in a browser. There are several ways of doing this, AJAX being one, but a better fit is the Azure SignalR Service and companion SDK. Zach will explain the philosophy behind SignalR, when to use it as well as when not to, and what lessons learned he encountered getting this implemented in production.

Speaker: Zach Gardner

Zach is the Chief Architect at Keyhole Software, and comes to work every day to make users' lives better. He find the nexus between business needs, how users want to use software, and what can be feasibly implemented given the constraints of time and cost. What gives me the most joy is not putting out fires, but preventing them from even happening. His primary responsibility is to collaborate and be curious, identifying emerging technologies and engaging developers to foster adoption and build excitement. And to teach and learn every single day.
