Details

On this relaxed, social photo walk, we will explore the City's contrasting architecture in the afternoon sun. Beginners and experienced photographers are all welcome.

  • The Barbican Centre: We begin at this iconic brutalist playground, working with its maze of highwalks, geometric lines, textures, and pockets of light.
  • St. Paul’s & One New Change: Next, we'll capture various vantage points of the famous cathedral and shoot a mix of modern and old architecture.
  • The Northbank Path: Heading toward our final stop, we’ll take this quieter, less-frequented alternative to the Southbank for scenic cityscape views of the Shard and Tower Bridge.
  • St. Dunstan in the East: We’ll finish at this bombed ruined church garden—a secret gothic oasis in the middle of the city where nature has overtaken the architecture, offering incredible light filtering through the ruins and makes for stunning creative photographs.

Whether you love to shoot architecture, candid street scenes, or just experiment with the light creatively, there will be plenty to work with.

Please note that this is not a teaching workshop event. However, if you have any street photography questions or need advice during the walk please feel free ask me. As an extra bonus I've created a Street Photography Cheat-Sheet available for free download for members.

Optional. We will end the photo walk at a pub or cafe for a quick drink for those who wish to regroup socially post walk.
