Transforming Anger Into Power
Details
Hello Ladies!
Is the world really better when women stuff down their rage?
Anger is a reaction that society does not consider “appropriate” for women. But the reality is, if we suppress our anger, it renders us ugly and marginal.
But how can we take this fuel, this anger, and transform it into power?
I invite you to join us for a focused discussion on women and anger, where we will explore questions such as:
- Do you need permission to be angry?
- Can you be angry on your own behalf?
- Is it OK to rage publicly?
- What is one way that women typically express anger?
- Does society consider women’s anger a threat?
- Should anger be contained or felt??
In preparation for our circle, I invite you to explore the following books:
- Good and Mad by Rachel Traister
- Rage Becomes Her by Soraya Chemaly
- 7 Sins of Women and Girls by Mona Eltahawy
All of them are food for thought.
This circle will be guided by the Wise Women Code. This code invites us to have conversations that make a difference in our own process of transformation and growth, and catalyze and ignite possibilities in others.
As always, bring a journal or something to write on, as well as a cup of tea or beverage of choice. The circle should last around 90 minutes, but can be a bit more or less. While we ask that you show up on time, please note that admittance into the circle is closed at 15 minutes past the hour.
Let me know if you have any questions and I hope you can join us on the 21st!
Kelly
