Journaling for Joy & Vision Writing
Details
Looking for more creativity and peace in your life? Join us for a fun, engaging Wishful Thinking Women favorite ~ Journaling for Joy. We have been meeting online using ZOOM for 5+ years!!
The women are caring, interesting, and supportive, which creates a warm, welcoming, insightful environment for first timers or familiar faces.
Give journaling a try ~ for a night of fun or to learn ways to make it part of your daily, weekly, monthly routine.
**“‘Research shows that regularly writing down what’s on your mind can help you release emotions and make sense of what’s going on in your life. Journaling also can help improve your relationships with others, lower your blood pressure and decrease symptoms of depression.’ … ‘There is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to journal,’ Dr. Leichter said. ‘Folks need to find what works best for them.’” Sanfordhealth.org**
**“For example, just journaling for 10-20 minutes about the day’s events can lead to deeper understanding of emotional challenges, inspire problem solving, and help people identify potential themes and patterns in their daily lives which can be valuable in creating perspective and choosing healthier ways of coping.” Sanfordhealth.org**
I’ll share tips and ideas about writing for fun, to enhance your joy, to relieve stress, to expand your courage, or to explore new adventures. Journaling, expressive writing, and vision writing can turn your life around and fuel your creativity, while deepening your understanding of yourself, your desires, and your connection to the world around you.
We write to prompts for 15-20 minutes total, then share our work - if we want - and learn new and more rewarding ways to connect to ourselves. You may even make new friends in the process! I have been journaling steadily for decades, vision writing for 20 years+ and I can tell you firsthand, the process dramatically enhanced my life.
Join us! Bring paper - lined and/or blank - pens, pencils, crayons, colored markers - anything that gets your creative juices flowing. Set the mood by finding a quiet place to relax while you sip a cup of tea or a glass of wine - scented candles optional!
Hope to see you soon.
Warm regards,
Patrice
