What we’re about

This group's purpose is to create a live space for people to grow in their craft DAILY through reading witchcraft books, practicing exercises, and meditating together.

Is this group for you?
Are you a witch (male/female/non-binary) or interested in learning about witchy things like: spell work, nature crafting, manifestation, magick, tarot/oracle readings, meditation, the environment, personal empowerment, and psychic skills? If yes - Then this is for you :)

What does the Witchy Studies Group do?
In this group we will grow our DAILY practice through studying the most comprehensive witchcraft books to help in our craft, practicing the exercises in them, and meditating regularly. Not to mention, we will get to know each other intimately throughout the process, which will lead to people bonding and forming regular, in-person covens (**this "coven" is more of a community, though we do occasionally do practice spells together).

For now we offer the following meetings:

  1. Weekly Study Group
    1. Monday @ 8:00 pm EST (6:00 PM MST)

    2. We read through books that explore the power of us, our minds, and the power of belief. We also study books that connect us to each other and the environments around us. We like to take things slow and practice or discuss what we learned as we learn it. Books we've done:

      1. "Wild Witch" by Marian Green
      2. "Psychic Witch" by Mat Auryn
      3. "Drawing Down the Moon" By Margot Adler
      4. "Spellcrafting" by Arin Murphy-Hiscock
      5. "Tarot for Yourself" by Mary Greer

      Potential future books:

      1. "Witches Guide to Self-Care" by Arin Murphy-Hiscock
      2. "Women Who Run with Wolves" by Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes
    3. This is all guided through the organizer, Mae (read about her below)

    4. Usually, this takes 60 minutes

  2. Occasional online meetup chats
    1. They happen randomly
    2. These are more of a chill venue where we can meet people in the coven and form relationships
    3. The first half of the meeting will be a loosely guided workshop or info session
    4. As the group grows, we will spend the second half of this meeting in break-out groups organized by region with the hopes that people will mesh and bond to form their own personalized covens.
    5. Usually 60 minutes
  3. Sabbat Celebrations
    1. We try to meet on all solstice and equinoxes as those are celebrations the organizer cherishes most.
    2. This does depend on the organizer's capacity, though volunteer leaders are always welcome

How does it work?
If this group is everything you've been looking for to grow yourself as a person by enriching your witchy side, then we absolutely welcome you! To be able to join meetings, you have to contact the organizer first. Once she verifies you are a real human, she will share the relevant link with you. In general, she opens membership at the beginning of new book cycles.

**Please note that we expect all members to be respectful of each other. Any harassment, harmful or malicious commentary, demeaning speech, and name-calling will not be tolerated. If you partake in these behaviors, the moderator can kick you out of the meeting without warning and can ban you from future meetings. We are here to support and encourage each other and build a beautiful community so let's bring that energy :)
