Women in Technology of the Heartland and the Women's Society of Cyberjutsu are joining together to present an introduction to Cyber Tatanka—Nebraska's premier cybersecurity training and collaboration initiative that is gaining interest from the country and the world!

Dana Turner, the Chief Information Security Officer at UBT, is our distinguished speaker and will share what Cyber Tatanka is, how it works, and why it matters for cybersecurity professionals, critical infrastructure workers, and anyone passionate about cyber defense.

He’ll talk about how participants from military, civilian, and international organizations come together each year for intensive, hands-on training, and how you might get involved.

The name "Cyber Tatanka" honors the Lakota Nation, drawing from their reverence for the bison (tatanka in Lakota), which was a vital life-sustaining resource requiring protection and stewardship. Similarly, the program recognizes that today's interconnected systems and critical infrastructure deserve the same dedication and protective resources that the Lakota applied to bison herds.

Thank you to our host and sponsor, FCSA, for providing the venue, food and drinks! Please register at https://bit.ly/WiTHRegister so we can plan appropriately.
