She Built This! Founders Behind Heartland Startups
Details
Every startup begins with a problem someone is determined to solve. But what does it take to turn that determination into a business?
Register on Meetup and join Women in Technology of the Heartland to meet four motivating women helping build what’s next in digital health, AI, construction technology, and equity crowdfunding. Hear the stories behind their startups, explore the problems they’re tackling, and learn how to bring an idea to life!
We’ll also welcome Nebraska Enterprise Fund to share resources that help entrepreneurs start, grow, and sustain their businesses.
Whether you have a business idea of your own, work in technology, or just love hearing from people creating something new, come ready to get inspired, ask questions and make connections.
Meet our speakers:
Dr. Breanna Hetland | Co-Founder & CEO, FamilyRoom
Breanna is a nurse scientist, entrepreneur, and professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing. Inspired by her research and her own experience as a family caregiver, she co-founded FamilyRoom, a digital health platform that allows family caregivers to document observations and caregiving contributions directly into a patient’s medical record. Her work brings together technology, clinical research, and a deeply personal mission to improve care for patients and families.
Amie Konwinski | COO & Chief Compliance Officer, AQi
Amie brings more than 25 years of experience in technology, cybersecurity, and operations to AQi, a women-founded equity crowdfunding platform for women-led businesses. A U.S. Navy veteran and founder of Smart Gen Society, she now leads AQi’s platform operations and regulatory compliance. AQi provides a place for eligible women-led companies to share required crowdfunding disclosures and for investors to review them.
Jess Goldoni | Co-Founder, Nebrask.AI
Jess works at the intersection of what AI can do and what humans should do with it. Through Nebrask.AI, she helps leaders make sense of the questions beyond adoption—from cost and return on investment to ethics, education, workforce disruption, and trust. Now a candidate for the Nebraska Legislature, she brings a perspective that connects technology, public leadership, and the people whose lives AI is changing.
Claudia Muñoz-Nájar | Co-Founder, Build Más
Claudia is a serial entrepreneur and technology executive with more than 25 years of experience in technology, education, and business. She co-founded Build Más, a bilingual software platform for Hispanic-owned contractors. Her career spans IBM, building UTEC’s Executive Education division in Peru, and launching Latin America’s first Data and AI Summit. She also serves on the board of the Women’s Fund of Omaha.
