Hike to Dead River Sink from Alapaha River

Details

An easy hike following Alapaha River as it flows into the Dead River and disappears into the Dead River Sink: you don’t see this just anywhere!. Bring water, a snack, and bug repellent.

No boat required. Really: you don’t want to try to boat up the Dead River. But you do want to see the Dead River Sink.

Duration: 2-3 hours

Where: Jennings Bluff Landing (http://www.wwals.net/maps/alapaha-water-trail/arwt-map/arwt-access/#Jennings-Bluff-Launch), 30.579864, -83.039308 (https://www.google.com/maps/place/30%C2%B034'47.5%22N+83%C2%B02'21.5%22W/@30.579864,-83.039308,488m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0)
