Suwannee River Kayak Camping at Dowling Park River Camp

Details
There is no shuttle for this trip. We will paddle a short distance across the river from Dowling Park Boat Ramp to the River Camp. We will check in with the camp host, set up camp and continue our paddle upstream for 1 mile to swim and enjoy this beautiful river.
There are screened in platforms for glamping with ceiling fans, lights and electrical outlets as well as primitive camping sites. Along with a communal pavilion, there are also hot and cold showers and air conditioned bathrooms. There is a Camp Host that sells firewood ($6) and ice ($2) to help lighten your load.
This is a great camping outing for kids of all ages. Platforms are being offered to families first until July 6th. After that platforms will be available to everyone on a first come basis. To maintain physical distancing, we recommend only families or already closely-associated groups stay in a platform. Everyone else, please bring a tent: primitive camping is open to everyone. Message us with any questions and we will help you get set up.
In the comments, please let us know if you would like a platform or if you will be primitive camping. There are only 4 platforms open as of this posting, priority given to families until 7/6, then FCFS.
This outing is free to WWALS members, and $10 for non-members. We recommend you support the work of WWALS by becoming a WWALS member today!
