Suwannee River Paddle and Swim, Gibson Park to SRSP

Details
A summer saunter on the iconic Suwannee River. First a short paddle upstream to the Alapaha River Rise then on down the Suwannee with a chance to swim and cool off in the connected sinks and springs of Five Holes.
According to the Park, Five Holes is closed for restoration, but we have permission from the Suwannee River State Park Manager to swim in Five Holes on this outing. This is a very interesting formation to see, you can walk around and view the five holes, even if you don't want to get wet.
Arrive on time to drop off kayaks at the ramp at Gibson County Park and be ready to shuttle vehicles to the takeout at Suwannee River State Park. No charge at Gibson Park but there is a Florida State Park fee at SRSP.
Paddle: 7.7 miles, 4 hours.
Shuttle: 15 miles, 30 minutes.
This outing includes a traditional shuttle, please be willing to help out. Everybody takes their boats to the put-in, most people drive to the take-out to leave their vehicles, and everybody comes back to the put in with as few vehicles as reasonable.
This outing is free to WWALS members, and $10 for non-members. You can pay at the outing, or online: https://wwals.net/outings
