Suwannee River Paddle, Big Shoals to White Springs

Practicing Geologist Dennis Price will be leading us on this exciting outing. We'll launch at Big Shoals State Park, paddle 1 mile to the portage at Big Shoals, where we'll get out, portage, relax and enjoy the beautiful shoals, then re-launch. We'll help each other but this is a little strenuous so be prepared to do some lifting, climbing and carrying your kayak. Dennis will lead us through Little Shoals and on to White Springs.
Do not go to the Little Shoals Entrance when you are driving in, it can be confusing. Please come on time to unload your boats and gear. Bring wheels if you have them to help get your kayak down to the launch. We will be shuttling vehicles to the take out at Suwannee River Wayside Park on Hwy 41 in White Springs.
