The Global Earth Day theme for 2024 is Our Planet Versus Plastics. Plastic waste choking our rivers, lakes and oceans, and piling up on land is more than unsightly and harmful to plants and wildlife. Come help us clean up trash jams, while encouraging Valdosta to stop trash from getting into the Withlacoochee River. Plastic Pollution is a real and growing threat to human health.
When: Gather 9 AM, launch 10 AM, end 2 PM, Saturday, April 13, 2024
Take Out: Troupville Boat Ramp
Paddle: 7 miles, 4-5 hours
Shuttle: 9 miles each way, 30 minutes
Free: This outing is free because it is a cleanup.
