Frontend meetup
Details
We are going to test yet another format of our meetups this time.
First, Sergey is going to give a lecture about web components (and the most popular framework, which tries to deliver them now - Polymer), and then we are going to have a discussion panel, so please prepare your questions beforehand!
Web 2015: web components & polymer
Abstract:
looks familiar? It probably should, because that’s the way we write web applications nowadays. A huge bowl of div soup. Really, there’s no better way. There must be, and many frameworks have figured it out already. Components is a convenient application architecture block that’s easy to use, reason and build applications. Many methodologies and different frameworks have embedded this notion: directives in Angular, components in Ember and React, etc.So, if components are so good, why isn’t it sill a part of the web? Well, it is. This talk will introduce to the world of web components that will be our future and the Polymer library that allows you to use them already today.
Speaker: Sergey Bolshchikov, Developer Advocate at Wix.com, Tel Aviv.
Discussion panel
A typical question and its answer should not take more than 2 minutes, but of course it’s not a must and there might be questions that will take more time to discuss.
The host will prepare a couple of warm-up questions so that the format becomes clear for everyone.
Our participants are eager to tackle all your artful questions so you are welcome to challenge them!
