Since Facebook unveiled React Native in 2015, it has grown in momentum and changed the landscape of native mobile development. How does it work? What is developing a React Native app actually like? And is React Native a viable replacement for traditional native development?

If you're a JS developer and would like answers to these questions, come to our one-day workshop on React Native, where you'll be introduced to the basics of the platform and get a feel for how it works. You'll learn about it's strengths and weaknesses as well gain an understanding of what it takes to build a React Native app. When you leave, you'll be better equipped to evaluate React Native as a potential solution to your needs and you'll be ready to start developing your app.

Prerequisites:

Before participating in this workshop, you should be comfortable with modern JavaScript (ES2015+) and familiar with basic React concepts. No knowledge of native development or React Native is necessary. You should also be familiar with the basics of tools like git and npm.
